Teriyaki Chicken and Rice

 Real quick Teriyaki Chicken Meal

This recipe took me no longer than 10 minutes to prep and throw onto the Wok. 20 minutes total prep and cook time. Feel free to omit some ingredients, these are ingredients that I already have at home and frequently cook with.

INGREDIENTS: 

1/3 cup soy sauce
1 Tbsp Brown Sugar
1 Tbsp Corn Starch
1 Tbsp Rice Vinegar
1/4 tsp Sesame Oil
2 Tbsp Aji-Mirin Seasoning
2 Tbsp Honey
1 Tbsp Garlic
1 tsp Ground Ginger
Sesame Seeds
Salt/Pepper 
Chicken Breast

Optional: green onion for garnishing

DIRECTIONS:

1. Starting out, prepare the chicken first. Cube the chicken breasts into 1/2 to 1 inch pieces.  Put the cubes into a bowl and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Set aside for later.
2. Heat up some oil on the wok at a medium-high heat. Add garlic and stir to release the flavors. Add the chicken to the wok and stir.


3. While that's cooking prepare the teriyaki sauce by mixing together the soy sauce, Corn Starch, Rice Vinegar, Sesame Oil, Aji-Mirin Seasoning, Honey, Garlic, and brown sugar in a bowl. Mix thoroughly and add to the chicken when its done cooking.





4. Turn to a medium low heat, cover and let the sauce thicken.
5. Prepare the rice which I had already had prepped in a larger batch for quick meal accessibility. And chop the green onion into tiny pieces to prep the garnish.
6. Plate everything, sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onion and Enjoy :)
